We Collect Box Tops!

It is my hope that these pages will provide an easy way for parents and students to access information about our school. You will find electronic copies of our latest newsletters and lunch menus at the left side of this page. Upcoming events, links to teacher websites, and other useful information can also be found here.

We have a big job to do; we are all helping to build kids’ futures right now. The skills they learn, the habits they acquire, and the attitudes they develop about relationships and hard work will be carried on to junior high school, high school, and beyond. Now is our best chance to help our children be ready. This endeavor is something that best happens as a partnership between students, parents, and the school. And I am grateful that our students and schools have the support of parents and the Coudersport community at large.

Our school has a solid reputation for student achievement and growth in the core academic areas, the arts, and physical education. We have talented and caring teachers and staff who are truly concerned about the wellbeing of our students. Together, we have an opportunity to improve on our already strong reputation and help our kids be ready to meet the changing needs of society.

Student safety, learning, and growth are our top priorities, and those concerns are reflected in our four basic student expectations: being safe, being responsible, being respectful, and being kind.  We have great students at our school, and I intend to do my part to help each one reach his or her potential.  With the help of their parents and our faculty and staff, I am confident that they will be able to do that.

If you have any questions about your child’s growth or general questions about our school, please feel free to contact his or her teacher – or contact me directly by phone, by email, or in person.

Kids' Club

The after-school services our Kids' Club used to provide are now being offered by the Boys and Girls Club.  The program will still be housed here at the elementary school, and it begins immediately after school every day. Applications are available in the main office.
If you are new to the area and reside within the Coudersport Area School District, and you have not yet registered your child/children for school, please call to set up an appointment.  To be eligible for kindergarten, students must be five years old by September 1.

Arrival at School

Doors open at 7:30; school starts at 8:05.
Students who arrive between 7:30 and 7:50 should report to the LGI (grades K through 2) or the cafeteria (grades 3 through 6); they can go to their homerooms at 7:50.

Morning Drop-off & Parking Lots

Please remember that the back parking lot is reserved for school van and bus traffic until afternoon dismissal.  Also be aware that the southern exit to that lot is only an exit; no vehicles should enter through that exit at any time.

As you enter the front lot, be mindful of the arrows directing the flow of traffic and keep an eye out for children and other pedestrians.  Students can also be dropped off on Vine Street; we have stairs and sidewalks leading to our school.

If parents need to enter the school in the morning, you should not park along the drop-off curb in front of the building.  We have several Visitor parking spaces along the sidewalk just around the corner - on the south side of the building

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep all of our children safe.
